St. Lazarus and St. Aloysius Gonzaga
Today we celebrate the feast day of St. Lazarus and St. Aloysius Gonzaga. This post will mostly focus on St. Lazarus since I have posted a post on St. Aloysius so I will put the link in this post for that. Anyway both are amazing saints and I recommend you check them out.
St. Lazarus
St. Lazarus is known as the poor man who was actually at the gate of the place that belonged to a rich man which was in Jesus’ parable which can be found in Luke 16:19-31.
St. Lazarus is described as; 19 “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. 20 And at his gate lay a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, 21 who longed to satisfy his hunger with what fell from the rich man’s table; even the dogs would come and lick his sores.”
The parable is extremely powerful, I recommend that you give it a read. St. Lazarus is actually the patron saint of lepers. St. Lazarus’ feast day is celebrated on June 21st.
St. Aloysius Gonzaga
St. Aloysius is an amazing saint, he is the patron saint of the youth and plague victims. Throughout his amazing life he was able to show how important it is to follow God's will regardless of what others may tell you. St. Aloysius may have lived a very short life in comparison to other people but during his lifetime he was able to bring many different people to God through his charity, humility and love that he showed towards other people. St. Aloysius' intercession is truly powerful and he can help those who are struggling to find what to do in their lives, find what God is calling them to do in their lives.
Please read more about him, he is truly amazing. St. Aloysius Gonzaga (wixsite.com)
